Lucky Goat × FoamAroma: a few questions for the case study

This is the questionnaire Craig asked for. Forward it to your Lucky Goat contact as-is. Every number on the case study comes from their answers, nothing is invented on our end. If they do not track a figure, they leave it blank and we write that section as a qualitative story instead. Either way it ships honest.

How to use this: the cleanest path is to copy the plain-text version (below the form) into an email straight to Lucky Goat. We kept it short on purpose, eight quick prompts and one optional quote. Anything they can answer helps; anything they skip, we cover qualitatively.

The questions

Context

1. The switch

Our records show Lucky Goat's first FoamAroma order in January 2012. Does that match your records, and roughly when did FoamAroma lids become standard across your to-go program? (A year or a season is fine.)

Metric

2. Customer response to the to-go cup

Did you notice a change in how customers talk about your to-go coffee after the switch? If you track it (review mentions, survey scores, repeat visits, anything), the number is great. If not, a sentence describing what you noticed works just as well.

Metric

3. Lid waste and breakage

One reason shops switch is fewer cracked or damaged lids during a rush. Did you see a drop in wasted lids or related cost? A percentage or a before/after count is ideal; a plain description is fine too.

Metric

4. Speed at the handoff

Any change in how fast baristas can get a to-go drink out the window during peak? Seconds saved per order, fewer remakes, smoother lids-on, whatever you have noticed.

Metric

5. Repeat to-go business

Any sign that the to-go experience brings people back, more repeat to-go orders, loyalty signups, regulars who specifically order to-go? A figure if you have one, otherwise your read on it.

Brand

6. Brand fit

Lucky Goat is known for quality. In a sentence or two, how does the lid fit (or not fit) that standard at the moment the cup leaves the counter?

Context

7. Custom / branded lids

You and Craig discussed custom-branded lids at World of Coffee. Anything you are comfortable sharing about that interest or plan? (Optional, helps the forward-looking close.)

Quote

8. One on-the-record line (optional but gold)

If a barista, manager, or operator is willing to give one real, attributable sentence about the lid, we would feature it. Please include the name and title and confirm we may quote them publicly. We will not publish any quote we cannot attribute, so an unsigned line we will leave out.

Approval: before this case study goes live, Lucky Goat sees the final draft and signs off. Nothing publishes without their yes.

Subject: A few quick questions for a FoamAroma + Lucky Goat write-up

Hi [name],

Craig at FoamAroma is putting together a short customer story with
Lucky Goat, and we are helping on the writing side. We only publish
real numbers, so rather than guess, we wanted to ask you directly.

Answer whatever is easy. Anything you skip, we will write as a plain
description instead of a stat. Nothing publishes until Lucky Goat sees
the final draft and approves it.

1. Our records show your first FoamAroma order around January 2012, and
that the lids became standard sometime after. Does that sound right,
and roughly when did they become your default to-go lid?

2. Did customers respond differently to your to-go coffee after the
switch? A number (reviews, surveys, repeat visits) is great; a
   sentence is just as good.

3. Did you see fewer cracked or wasted lids, or lower lid cost, during
   busy periods?

4. Any change in how fast a to-go drink gets out during a rush?

5. Any sign the to-go experience brings people back?

6. Lucky Goat is known for quality. How does the lid fit that standard
at the moment the cup leaves the counter?

7. Anything you can share about interest in custom-branded lids?
   (Optional.)

8. If anyone on your team will give one on-the-record sentence about the
lid, we would love to feature it. Please include their name and title
and confirm we can quote them.

Thank you,
[Craig / your name]
